This is from one of Rachel Ray's recipes. She suggests putting Swiss cheese, ham, and turkey in the sandwich and then cooking in the skillet in a "French Toast" type batter. The spread was excellent! Well, the whole sandwich was. But it is the spread and the grilling that made it so good. Next time, I'm just going to grill it like a Grilled Cheese Sandwich to save some time and mess!
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons raspberry preserves
2 tablespoons grainy Dijon mustard
Just mix the three ingredients together and use for a spread on each side of each sandwiches.
