Acorn Squash

COMMENTS:
This was my favorite vegetable as a kid! When I asked my mom for the recipe I was shocked (and disappointed) by how easy it was!
INGREDIENTS:
1 acorn squash
butter to taste
brown sugar to taste
natural applesauce (unsweetened)

DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut squash in half; remove seeds. Place open side down in pan of water (about 1/2" deep). Bake 45 minutes or until tender.
Drain water; turn squash right-side up (you may need to press hard to make the squash level). Put some butter in the bottom of each, then some brown sugar, and fill to top with applesauce. Bake 10-15 minutes until warm.
