Peanut Butter Fudgy Bars

COMMENTS:
I needed a dessert to take to a dinner and didn't have much to work with in my house. I had cake mixes and frosting but just a plain old cake didn't seem exciting enough to me. This recipe came to the rescue! The original recipe calls for crunchy peanut butter and then suggests sprinkling chopped peanuts and M&Ms on top. Even better!

INGREDIENTS:
1 cake mix - golden butter flavor
1 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup water
1 egg
1 can frosting
1/2 cup peanut butter

DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray.
In large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 cup of peanut butter, water, and egg on low speed. Mix 2 minutes on medium speed Spread into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and light golden brown. Cool completely (or throw in the freezer for ten minutes!).
In small bowl, blend frosting with 1/2 cup peanut butter and spread over cooked bars.
