This is a very simply (as the name implies) homemade macaroni and cheese recipe. It was a big hit at our house!
28 ounces chicken broth
3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (12 oz)
1 box (10 oz) frozen broccoli in cheese-flavored sauce in a pouch
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, optional
Bring chicken broth to a boil. Add macaroni noodles. Cook macaroni noodles for around ten minutes, once the broth begins to boil again. Meanwhile, cook the broccoli according to package directions.
When macaroni is done, remove from hot burner but DO NOT drain. Add broccoli and cheddar cheese to noodles and stir well. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
