This is so tender and delicious! The best part is that you just throw it all in the crockpot and you're done!
14 oz. chicken broth
2 slices bacon
2 tablespoons butter
6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup slivered almonds, toasted
3 cups cooked brown rice
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker, except rice and almonds. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
To toast almonds, spread them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 4-6 minutes, turning once.
Serve over cooked rice with almonds sprinkled on top.
